CHRIST THE KING Anglican Fellowship is an Extension work of the Reformed Episcopal Church and Anglican Church in North America. Having received the Christian faith and ministry from the Apostles through an English and Reformational heritage we are committed to making disciples for Jesus Christ in the Anglican Way, by continuing in the Apostles teaching, the fellowship, the breaking of bread and the prayers entrusted to us. We value biblical-orthodoxy, reformed-catholicity and Christ-centered-ministry; and we aim to gather, encourage and equip Christ-followers to proclaim Christ and to pursue God’s Kingdom.

Vision, Mission, Etc. ...
Our Vision is to become and remain, by the grace of God, a faithful and mature christian church, filled with Holy Spirit and zealous for good works.
Our Mission is to boldly proclaim Christ, pursue God's Kingdom and make disciples for Jesus Christ.
Our Strategy and Commitment Is to walk in the Anglican Way, by continuing in the apostles teaching, the fellowship, the breaking of bread and the prayers entrusted to us.
Our Values include biblical-orthodoxy, reformed-catholicity and Christ-centered-ministry.
Our Distinctives include being apostolic, biblical, liturgical, traditional, covenantal, family-integrated and Anglican.
Our Theology is catholic and reformed, being summarized in the ancient creeds of the undivided church, stated in the Thirty Nine Articles of Religion, and applied for worship and church order in the Book of Common Prayer (REC 2005) and the REC Ordinal.
Our Association with Christ's one, holy, catholic and apostolic church is by faith in Jesus Christ, participation in the holy sacraments of baptism and communion, and connection with the Reformed Episcopal Church (diocese of mid-America), a sub-jurisdiction of the Anglican Church in North America.
Our Strategic Partnerships are with St. Paul's Anglican Church (Baton Rouge) and with the REC 100 Church Planting network of churches; and we will be happy to partner for fellowship and ministry with other like-minded groups, particularly as found throughout the REC, ACNA, CREC, EPC, PCA, Global Methodists, and Missouri Synod Lutherans.
Our Location is on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain in Southeast Louisiana, and we plan to serve, and gather members from, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington parishes.
Our Meetings are at 203 N. Jefferson Ave in Covington, LA for Lord's Day (Sunday) Worship at 5pm. We also schedule other events at various locations to promote our mission and to help people establish new friendships. (Those interested in joining us or partnering with us are encouraged to attend meetings or contact Andrew Voelkel.)
Additional Information and Plans:
Being Anglican we plan to cultivate a disciplined rule of life for ordering our time and being disciples of Jesus.

Additional Information and Plans:
Being Anglican we plan to cultivate a disciplined rule of life for ordering our time and being disciples of Jesus.
- We shall strive to gather each Lord’s Day for corporate worship and Holy Communion.
- We shall strive to engage in daily common prayer.
- We shall strive to offer our lives unto God through various forms of private devotion, work, relationships and recreations.
- We shall recognize baptism as the initiatory rite of formal entrance into the church of Jesus Christ; and this rite shall be made available to all unbaptized persons, regardless of age or mental capacity.
- We shall invite and encourage all baptized persons in good standing with the church to participate in corporate worship and to receive holy communion.
- We shall acknowledge that baptized minor-children, though having become members of the church, remain under the authority of their parents (or familial guardians); and children shall worship with their families and be nurtured, catechized and protected through family involvement and oversight.
- We shall affirm that God created the world, out of nothing, in the space of six days, and that God has called mankind to cultivate the earth and to establish godly culture.
- We shall recognize Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, as the head of the church and King over the Kingdom of God.
- We shall affirm the Holy Scriptures to be the Word of God, and the only infallible rule of faith and practice for the church.
- We shall utilize historic biblical christian liturgies for the worship of God and the offering of corporate prayer, and to aid us in the expression of christian theology and the formation of christian identity.
- We shall affirm that men and women are made in the image of God and that they have distinct and complimentary roles to fulfill in the family and church for the sake of the Kingdom of God. Furthermore, we shall affirm that "the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God".
- We shall recognize and honor the three separate, yet complimentary, general spheres of authority that God has ordained for human society and flourishing, namely the family, the church and the civil-government.
- We shall recognize the ten commandments as summarizing the moral law that God has revealed for humankind.
- We shall acknowledge that the following things are unrighteous, ungodly, sinful and personally harmful: sexual immorality, homosexual practice, adultery, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, greed, stealing, swindling, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; and we shall furthermore acknowledge that those who persist in such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God, and should not be permitted to remain in good standing membership within any congregation of Christ's church.
- We shall profess and celebrate the grace of God in Christ, acknowledging that God provides forgiveness of sins for all who repent of their sins, believing on Christ and obeying the gospel.
- We shall affirm that repentance is a saving grace, whereby a sinner, out of a true sense of his sin, and apprehension of the mercy of God in Christ, doth, with grief and hatred of his sin, turn from it unto God, with full purpose of, and endeavor after, new obedience.
- We shall affirm that the Holy Spirit empowers God's people for faith, repentance and good works in this world, and we shall acknowledge that the evidence of the Spirit is not only outward obedience to God's word, but also love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
- We shall utilize traditional English language Book of Common Prayer liturgies and historic psalms, hymns and spiritual songs in our services.
- We shall support and promote the ministry of biblically qualified and apostolically ordained male clergy.
- We shall recognize the various God-ordained ministries of all members, and encourage all to serve faithfully according to their various callings and competencies for the benefit of the church, family and society.
- We shall promote, encourage and support christian education for the home and school.
- We shall practice christian hospitality.
- We shall promote an optimistic eschatology (i.e. doctrine of end-times), remembering that Christ is actively ruling and reigning and placing all enemies under his feet as he brings the Kingdom of God to fulfillment.
- We shall endeavor together to always Proclaim Christ and to Pursue God's Kingdom.
