CHRIST THE KING

The Lord's Day Service - April 24, 2022

4/23/2022

If you have been absent from church for a while, this Easter season is the time to begin gathering again with God's people to renew your covenant with God and to take your place among the saints. Find a church, or help start a church, that will encourage you to abide faithfully in Jesus Christ and to walk spiritually with Him in newness of life. We at Christ The King Anglican Fellowship encourage you to consider a church that graciously receives members  (adults and children) through the holy waters of baptism; confesses sins corporately each week and proclaims to the penitent forgiveness of sins in the name of Christ; sings and prays the psalms; professes the faith of the historic Church as summarized in the Apostles and/or Nicene Creeds; reads and teaches the holy scriptures with the aim of making faithful and obedient disciples of King Jesus; offers corporate prayers for the whole state of Christ's Church and for the expansion of the Kingdom of God throughout all the world; and regularly celebrates Holy Communion, allowing all baptized persons to participate without regard to age or mental capacity.  If you are looking for such a church in southeast Louisiana, consider joining us Sundays at 5pm at 203 North Jefferson Avenue, Covington Louisiana. The liturgy for this First Sunday after Easter is attached for your edification; and our sermon focus from the appointed scriptures will be on "Post-Resurrection Power", during which time we will consider some of the great things Jesus empowered his people to do after his resurrection from the dead.  - Rev. Andrew Voelkel
